Nancy was born and raised in New York, and completed her Bachelors in Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders and her Masters in Science in Speech Language Pathology degrees at Adelphi University in Garden City, NY. She worked as a Speech Language Pathologist for fifteen years, as a supervisor, regional lead, mentor, and private practice owner. Previous places of employment include the Department of Defense, Charleston County School District, Fresno School District, and Mill Neck Manor School for the Deaf. Nancy has completed approximately 20 ultramarathons (mileage surpassing 26.2 miles), and her furthest distance completed to date is 100 miles. She is married to an amazing man who owns multiple local businesses. They have three pugs and live in Summerville, SC.
